ETHICS AND PROFESSIONALISM
The F.N.T is a non-profit organization. It was born with the dual purpose of bringing together in a single association all the groomers who work for the welfare of pets and to represent them, at the same time, under the unique category of recognized professionals. It is an autonomous, free, democratic and non-partisan association, whose value is that the promotion of culture, training and information of member companies.
THE RECOGNITION OF OUR CATEGORY
Over the years, especially with the extraordinary nature of the lockdown period, we have been qualified as shopkeepers or as hairdressers and beauticians, suffering closures, taxation and tax treatments typical of a category to which we do not belong. This doesn't seem right to us. The F.N.T. has always fought to ensure that the work of groomer is recognized at the legislative level as a job in its own right. We feel the right need as craftsmen, as professionals, as entrepreneurs, to belong to a single specific category that can represent us and can guarantee protection for our work, for animal welfare and for safety in our workplaces. And not only for us but also for all pet owners who will thus be able to enjoy greater security and trust in us, greater awareness and knowledge in the care and respect of their animals.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND PROTECTION
The main purpose that we at F.N.T. we set ourselves, is to make nationally recognized professional training compulsory. By collaborating at a government level, we will in fact be able to initiate standard training procedures, guaranteeing a high level of quality and safety. To date, it is not uncommon for the wild and uncontrolled openings of salons with a poor working and ethical level to harm the sacrifices and dedication of those truly professional groomers. What we ask is simply to be represented and protected, just like all other existing job categories.
UNITED WE CAN
However, let's be clear: the National Federation of Groomers does not intend to go against other trade associations. On the contrary, we hope to be able to find common strengths and fruitful collaborations in order to give even greater value to the professional figure of the groomer. All this is not easy to achieve, we know it, but we try, because only #UnitiSiPuò.
